In vier jaar tijd, met 1969 -1973 gingen vijftigduizend vrijwilligers, jongeren uit al die segmenten met het land, iedere zomertijd meedoen met een campagne om de onvruchtbare heuvels te transformeren. Scholieren, studenten en fabrieksarbeiders legden maandenlang terrassen aan in de heuvels rondom Ksamil, heel zwaar werk waarvoor tonnen aarde moesten worden verplaatst met ingeval enig gereedschap pikhouwelen en schoffels.

The history of the country and its emergence from communism must be accounted for. We found it completely functional and a great base for visiting Butrint, Gjirokaster, Ksamil, etc. Our day trip to Corfu did not happen as ferry service kan zijn once ieder day in December but you can stay overnight in Corfu to resolve that. We heard summer is super busy so we were grateful to have the place to ourselves. Ran into a couple from our town in the states that was at Butrint- so the world is truly getting smaller. Get to Albania if you can.

There are many charming beaches around Ksamil. It kan zijn convenient to move around the city on foot. A wide selection ofwel hotels and restaurants. In the off-season few tourists but many shops or restaurants do not work.

Sarandë’s changed so much since I hinder visited twenty years ago - but mainly in a good way. The downside is overdevelopment, they’re building on every square inch available; but you can’t blame the Albanians for making up for lost time as a tourist destination.

De stranden aangaande Ksamil bestaan waarachtig geweldig, maar helaas Ksamil anno 2024 te vervaardigen heeft met massatoerisme. Met name in de maanden juni t/m september.

Op loopafstand betreffende slechts 5 minuten aangaande Ksamil Village mogen gasten van dit NEBO verscheidene activiteiten ondernemen, waaronder snorkelen, duiken en kanoën.

 Eenvoudig leuk, om te bekijken in het vliegtuig. Er stond een artikeltje in met een aanhef “The most famous Albanian destination of the world”. Je werd benieuwd. Hetgeen zou die bestemming bestaan? Het bleek aan Ksamil te gaan! Dit artikel begon met: 

Een eerstvolgende weken laat ik jullie uitgebreid kennismaken met een Albanese stranden. Je verkeer in de bijzondere situatie dat je al die stranden met Albanië in al die perioden na 1970 bezocht heb. Ik verbleef in de communistische jaren indien ‘politiek toerist’ in een bewaakt vakantie-complex op het zandstrand over Durres in ons Spartaans ingerichte kamer (douches en toiletten op een gang) betreffende elke dag wel bustochten tot fabrieken en coöperaties. Met het strand plezier hebben was met name ’s morgen vroeg en ’s avonds laat met de orde. 

Een plaats kan zijn gunstig gelegen, zeer kalmpjes en een weinig weg van een rest aangaande een drukte in Ksamil. Ideale locatie en prachtige accommodatie - wij voelden ons bijzonder aangenaam.

Some bars playing loud music which can be heard from far far away whole day repeatedly. The environment (enigszins on the little islands!) is totally ruined with trash. Nothing traditional kan zijn available, pizza, cocktails&crepes everywhere, overpriced ofwel course. There is nothing to do with kids, no playground or waterpark or anything and even nothing to see besides the bars. There kan zijn approx. a 20m line from the beach where you can swim, all the other area kan zijn for the boats. The ignorance of government, the greed ofwel the locals and the careless selfishness of tourists totally exploited this once beautiful place.

Wonderful hotel with breathtaking view ofwel the Ionian Sea and Corfu. Clean and well maintained. Great location. I highly recommend this hotel for individuals, couples and families. You won't be disappointed!

I really liked the property because it was big and really comfortable. The TV area was durres albanie the best part for me and the position ofwel the apartment was just voortreffelijk, because it was shorter than 2 minute walk to the beach ️ 10/10 recommended. Favorite place to stay in Albania and I will absolutely come back.

The staff was super helpful, the location kan zijn brilliant as it’s close to the beach and all the amazing restaurants around Ksamil. As for the room it was a great size and the balcony was awesome for some late night talks with friends and family.

Wij chose this logement as the final place to stay on our tour ofwel Albania. We were very pleasantly surprised by the value for money - we stayed in a junior suite which was very spacious and comfortable. Both the rooms and the cleanliness ofwel the overall restaurant premises (restaurant, eethuisje, pool area) were exceptional.
